DG is a conservative investor whose primary responsibilities are the preservation of their clients' assets balanced against the achievement of their financial goals. The firm is also a long-term investor, with long-term defined as an investment time horizon of 5 years or more. They do not try to time the market, entering the market at the lows and exiting at the highs, although some timing decisions are involved in investing cash or making cash available. DG believes that diversification is essential to minimizing portfolio risk. An allocation between various asset classes, such as alternative investments, and/or styles minimizes the effect of a downturn in any one area of the market.

Tailwind Advisors invests in companies located in the United States. The firm focuses on companies operating in the fields of marketable securities, oil & gas, and real estate. It participates in equity, debt and mezzanine financing for acquisition, capitalization and later-stage transactions.
