Drmanac is the founder of Complete Genomics, Inc. (founded in 2006) where he holds the title of Chief Scientific Officer.
He is also the founder of Callida Genomics, Inc. (founded in 2001) where he held the titles of President, Chief Executive Officer, and CFO.
In addition to his founding positions, Dr. Drmanac has held former job positions.
He was the Chief Scientific Officer at Nuvelo, Inc. from 1994 to 2001.
He also worked as a Group Leader at Argonne National Laboratory and as the Chief Scientific Officer at MGI Tech Co., Ltd.Dr. Drmanac obtained his doctorate degree from the University of Belgrade in 1988.
He also holds an undergraduate degree (1982) and a graduate degree (1984) from the same university.
