Juan Salas

Juan Sanchez Salas is the Head of European Greenfield Investments.
In his role at Equitix, Juan is responsible for the origination and execution of greenfield opportunities in Europe.
Juan joined Equitix in 2018 and has over 18 years of international experience in Infrastructure and Project Finance across Europe, North America, LATAM and Australia, having actively participated in more than 50 transactions (EV +40 bn€).
During his career Juan has successfully invested €1.1bn in numerous projects in the mobility, carbon transition and telecommunications sectors (i.e.
North Tarrant Express, IH-77 Expressway, 407 Extension, Gentse Warmte Centrale and Healthcare Transportation Group).
In addition, Juan led and structured several exits delivering premium returns for investors (M3 and M4 in Ireland, Norte Litoral and Via do Infante in Portugal and Ionian Roads and Central Greece E65 in Greece).
Prior to joining Equitix, Juan was Head of Business Development and M&A at Cintra (Ferrovial), responsible for origination, structuring, bidding and financing infrastructure projects worldwide.
Other previous roles include financial analyst at BNP Paribas and Banco Santander.
He has served as Board Member of several companies in the infrastructure and telecommunications space.
Juan holds a BA in Business Administration from CEU University and a MSc in Finance from CUNEF University.
