Short is a Vice President, Director & Portfolio Manager at Odlum Brown USA Investment Management Ltd. As a Portfolio Manager, Mr. Short can provide clients with discretionary investment management services.
Working closely with clients, he develops a well-planned approach to ensure that each client’s individual financial goals and risk tolerance are clearly defined and understood.
In addition, he has over four years of experience on the fixed income side of the markets.
His fixed income strategy stresses liquidity and safety of capital by investing in high-quality notes and bonds issued by governments and corporations.
He joined Vice Chairman Ross Sherwood on the retail side of the business in 2000.
Mr. Short graduated from the University of British Columbia in 1995 with a B.Sc.
and attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas in 1990.
In 2009, he earned the Canadian Investment Manager (CIM) designation along with the highest designation granted from the Canadian Securities Institute, the Fellowship of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI).
