From 2003, Mr Carter worked at Morgan Stanley Investment Management and before that spent seven years at JPMorgan Investment Management, where he was head of US Equities in London.
Between 1994 and 1996 he was director of US equity investments at Lazard Brothers Asset Management, and from 1987 to 1994 he worked as a portfolio manager at Royal Insurance Asset Management.
Simon Carter graduated from UMIST with a BSc (Hons) in management science.
