Ms. Ruth K.
Greene, CPA, is a Vice President, Treasurer & Chief Financial Officer at Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Vermont.
She joined the firm in 2012 and ovbersees the finance departments including underwriting, actuarial, and treasury, as well as Blue Cross’ enrollment services operations, she provides on-going strategic and operational financial leadership.
Ms. Greene joined Blue Cross after a 26-year career at the Unum Corporation, a Fortune 500 company.
While at Unum, Ms. Greene was responsible for establishing and unveiling both short-term and long-term financial management strategies for global technology shared services that focused on transparency and quality.
She held a number of positions at Unum, both at its corporate headquarters in Maine and its locations abroad.
Ms. Greene graduated summa cum laude from the University of Vermont with a degree in Business Administration.
She also earned the Certified Public Accountant designation from Maine.
