Madera is the founder and the General Partner of Meritech Capital Partners, which was founded in 1999.
He is currently the Chairman of The USAFA Endowment and a Director at Tegile Systems, Inc., Icertis, Inc., Homestead Technologies, Inc., Tensilica, Inc., Air Force Academy Foundation, Inc., OPENLANE US, Inc., DataStax, Inc., Filevine, Inc., Yubico AB, Kinetica DB, Inc., BEynd LLC, and a Trustee at Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Mr. Madera has held former positions as a Director at Force10 Networks, Inc., NuCORE Technology, Inc., School Loop, Inc., Glaukos Corp., Sonendo, Inc., ForgeRock, Inc., BlueArc Corp., DealerSocket LLC, and Yubico AB (Old).
He was also the Managing Director & Head-Private Equity Group at Banc of America Specialist, Inc. from 1994 to 1999 and the Head-Private Equity Group at Montgomery Securities, Inc. from 1994 to 1999.
Additionally, Mr. Madera served as an Investment Banker at Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC.
He received his undergraduate degree from the United States Air Force Academy in 1978 and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business in 1990.
