Nigel J. Keegan

Nigel Keegan joined Pali in December of 2006 as Managing Director and Head of European Pharmaceuticals, Healthcare and Biotechnology Research at Pali in London.
Mr Keegan has previously worked as Co-ordinator of Global Healthcare Equity Research at Gartmore Investment Management and Sector Head for European Healthcare at the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority.
As a sell-side analyst, he was involved as lead analyst in the privatisation of the Croatian pharmaceutical company Pliva and developed an interest in emerging markets stocks.
He previously worked as a Director and member of the Area Management Committee for Sterling Health’s business in emerging markets and as an internal strategy consultant at Shell International Petroleum.
He is the holder of a medical degree (M.B. B.S.) from London University and an M.B.A. from the London Business School and initially specialised in cardiothoracic surgery.
His research philosophy is to uncover valuation discrepancies on the long and the short side via rigorous fundamental analysis.
