Ji-Hong Yoo is currently the Vice Chairman of the Korean Association of Internal Medicine, Chairman of the Korean Academy of Tuberculosis & Respiratory Diseases, and a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians.

Prior to his current positions, he worked as a Principal at the National Institutes of Health from 1991 to 1993.
