James D. Gardner

James (J.D.) Gardner, was appointed as our Chief Financial Officer in September 2017.
From January 2015 until his appointment as Chief Financial Officer, he served as a consultant to our finance and accounting department.
From 2010-2015, Mr. Gardner served as a financial and accounting consultant to a number of small businesses and served as Chief Financial Officer and General Partner at OmniCapital Group, a technology based venture capital fund.
Prior to that, Mr. Gardner served as Chief Financial Officer at two small public companies, Visual Management Systems, Inc., a provider of wireless security systems and products (2008-2010) and Amedia Networks, a provider of next generation ultra-broadband switched Ethernet home gateways and home networking solutions for voice video and data services (2005-2008).
Mr. Gardner also served as Chief Operating Officer or Chief Executive Officer at two private companies, dotPhoto, a private company engaged in on-line photo processing and wireless application development for cellular telephones (2005) and Comstar Interactive, a private company engaged in the wireless credit card processing field (2001 through 2004).
Prior to that, Mr. Gardner spent 27 years at BellSouth and AT&T.
He held the position of Chief Financial Officer of BellSouth Wireless Data (renamed Cingular Interactive (1999 through November 2001 when he retired from BellSouth), as Chief Financial Officer of BellSouth Mobile Data (1995-1999) and chief financial officer of RAM/BSE Communications L.P.
from 1991 through 1995 (all companies involved in the provision of wireless packet data networks and services, principally in the US and Europe).
