Mr. David Wong, CFA, is a Group Chief Investment Officer, Managing Director & Head of Total Investment Solutions at CIBC Asset Management, Inc. He leads CIBC Asset Management’s Portfolio Solutions, Manager Research and Investment Oversight efforts.
His team’s functions include manager research and selection, portfolio construction, operational research, trading, and risk monitoring.
Prior to joining CIBC Asset Management in July 2011, Mr. Wong spent 13 years at a global investment firm based in New York and Toronto as a Senior Research Analyst, covering a broad spectrum of fixed income strategies on behalf of institutional and retail clients.
Mr. Wong has an Honours Bachelor of Commerce from McMaster University, is a CFA Charterholder and holds the Financial Risk Manager (FRM) designation from the Global Association of Risk Professionals.
