Andor Capital Management uses a variety of methods and strategies to make investment decisions. The firm seeks to achieve superior capital appreciation through the purchase and sale (including short sales) of securities of companies that benefit or are harmed by global secular trends. Each fund emphasizes, but is not limited to, stocks related to the information technology, communications and media industries and their major subsectors. These include hardware, software, semiconductors, communications equipment, consumer electronics, the Internet, communications services, cable television and publishing. In addition, Andor Capital invests in companies in other industries where they have identified important secular shifts. The funds also attempt to take advantage of catalyst-driven short-term opportunities.

PFM generally uses bottom-up analysis in an attempt to identify transformational changes, trends, investment themes and core investment opportunities across asset classes and geographies. Their investment strategies are currently (1) Healthcare, which primarily invests in the global healthcare industry, (2) Growth Equity, which primarily invests in growth equity healthcare investments and (3) Biotech Opportunities, which primarily invests in biotech investments. The firm utilizes certain co-investment vehicles from time to time for investment opportunities in privately held companies.

PFM-Asia is an active manager which manages a range of hedge funds including a multi-strategy diversified offshore hedge fund, the PFM Meritage Offshore hedge fund, a technology-focused hedge fund and a healthcare-focused hedge fund.
