Alex Leung

Alex is a Principal of Serendipity Capital and is responsible for the management and onboarding of clients.
He is a Financial Services executive with over 16 years of experience in Investment Banking and Wealth Management.
In his most current role in UBS, he led the effort in advising clients such as Global Family Offices, Ultra High Net Worth families and Financial Intermediaries on professionalization and formalization of business and investment governance structures through establishing Private Label Funds or Collective Investment Schemes.
He oversaw the entire onboarding process from initial legal structure setup to successful fund launch.
This brought the investment bank and wealth management business together; a conduit to facilitate wealth management clients’ access to institutional level services and platforms.
Prior to UBS Wealth Management, he was a Prime Services Manager in Global Prime Brokerage Division within the Investment Banking side, where he worked closely with and successfully on boarded Financial Institutions and Hedge Fund clients (launch sizes in excess of US$500m) in APAC; ensuring a smooth and seamless transition experience for clients into the bank.
Prior to UBS, Alex held similar roles in Nomura and Lehman Brothers where he was responsible for AML/KYC onboarding of both regional APAC and global clients into the Investment Banking arm.
Alex began his career with Goldman Sachs as an Equities Compliance Analyst responsible for trades surveillance and monitoring regulatory breaches.
Alex has previously lived in the US, Belgium, Dominican Republic and Canada.
