Stefan Bielmeier

Mr. Stefan Bielmeier is a Head of Research & Chief Economist at DZ Bank AG.
In June 2010 he joined DZ BANK.
He is thus responsible for the division’s strategic orientation, for all DZ BANK’s economic and financial market forecasts as well as for the development of the bank’s position on questions of economic policy.
He also addresses these issues at many public client events as well as in the media.
In addition, he sits on several committees, including the working group of the chief economists of the eight European UNICO banks, which under his chairmanship discusses strategic questions in the banking sector as well as economic affairs.
His main goal in all these areas of activity is to develop suitable investment strategies for private investors in a difficult environment.
He started his career at Deutsche Bank AG in 1996.
His chief responsibilities initially consisted of the production of econometric forecasting models for interest rates, yields and exchange rates as well as forecasting and analyzing economic indicators.
From January 2006, he was responsible for economic research within Global Markets in Germany and from January 2009, he was also responsible for asset allocation and equity strategy.
Mr. Bielmeier obtained a degree in economics.
