Mr. Laurie Munro is Co-Founder, President & Chief Executive Officer at NexGen Financial LP.
Prior to co-founding NexGen in 2006, Mr. Munro worked in a variety of sales, marketing and general management roles over the span of his career, with fifteen years spent at Mackenzie Financial Corporation.
He is a former Executive Vice President at Mackenzie as well as a former President and CEO of Mackenzie’s wholly owned subsidiaries, the MRS Group of Companies.
He has extensive experience successfully distributing products and services through the independent financial advisor channel.
Mr. Munro received a BBA in 1977 and an MBA in 1979, both from from York University.
He served as the Chair of the Investment Funds Institute of Canada's Public Information Committee.
