Jim Coughlin

Jim has over 25 years of experience in the private equity and seniors housing sector, completing over $2bn in transaction.
Throughout his career, Jim has built exceptional, long term relationships with capital partners, producing exemplary returns for this investment partners.
Jim co-founded The Northbridge Companies, New England’s preeminent senior housing business with Wendy Nowokunski, and has been instrumental in growing Northbridge from a single asset to a portfolio of 17 communities today.
Prior to Northbridge, Jim was a partner at Newton Senior Living.
As part of the senior management team, he was responsible for growing the organization from a single asset to a 27-community portfolio.
Jim regularly speaks on the senior housing industry, including at the MIT School of Real Estate and Argentum’s national conference.
Jim serves on the Board of Directors of Lord Hobo Brewing Company, Cartias Communities, an organization that develops and manages housing for the working poor, as well as serving on the board at Beth Israel Deconess – Needham and the MA – SALC Fund.
