Smith is President at Beacon Securities Ltd. She joined Beacon Securities Ltd when it opened its doors in December 1988.
She successfully completed the Canadian Securities Course (Honours), Professional Financial Planning Course, Options, Partners and Directors and Chief Financial Officers Course.
These courses assist in her role as investment advisor to individuals.
She enjoys helping people clarify their goals and develop and implement a plan to achieve them.
As President, CFO and Senior Partner, Ms. Smith is involved in a broad range of activities including government and corporate relations.
Always active in both the industry and community, she currently serves as the NS District Chair of the Investment Dealers Association (IDA), Chair of the National Advisors Committee of the IDA, Member of the National Board of the IDA. She is also past chair of the Mount Saint Vincent University and Halifax YWCA. Ms. Smith graduate of Dalhousie University with a Bachelor of Arts and Education she has several years of industry experience.
