From 1974 to 1976, he was a Rate Analyst at Yellow Freight System.
Mr. Armstrong completed his undergraduate college education at Northern Illinois University, graduating in 1970 with a BA. From 1970 to 1972, he did graduate work at the University of California, Los Angeles.
In the period from 1972 through 1974, he performed graduate studies in transportation and taught at the University of Colorado.
In addition, he taught transportation courses at the University of Missouri-Kansas City and Madison Area Technical College.
Over the past several years, he has developed and presented at seminars held by logistics and supply chain organizations, motor carrier associations and Fortune 500 companies.
