Prior to joining LMP, Spencer was a Principal at Safeguard Scientifics Inc., a publicly-traded growth capital investor, where he completed over 20 private equity and public transactions.
Prior to pursuing his M.B.A., Spencer was the Manager of Corporate Affairs at MicroStrategy, Inc., reporting to the founder and CEO, and he was in the Technology Investment Banking group at Merrill Lynch & Company, Inc.
He is a member of the Boards of Directors of Billhighway, Charles Taylor, Engage People, Inc., London & Capital, STP Investment Services and Warner Pacific and is Co-Chair of the Wharton Private Equity & Venture Capital Association.
