The association advocates for increased information sharing between traders and crime prevention authorities to strengthen measures against money laundering and the financing of terrorism. Recently, the association discussed the handling of fraud cases and fraud related to coordination numbers. The association also addressed the problem of an imbalance of regulations on strong customer authentication within the fintech sector. The current regulations have hindered innovation and competition neutrality. The association is pleased that information sharing between banks and authorities is being proposed, but it is a shame that the proposal only limits the initiative to banks.
