Loren Brown

As the Director of Energy Accounting at Invico Capital Corporation, Loren Brown brings over 15 years of experience in joint venture and operational accounting to his role overseeing the accountancy of the non-operated working interest assets of Invico’s energy portfolio.
Before joining Invico, Loren worked as a Joint Venture Accountant and Analyst at several large multinational oil and gas exploration and production companies, including Apache Corporation and ConocoPhillips.
Since then, he has also managed operational accounting groups at smaller, locally based oil and gas firms, such as Sword Energy, Chinook Energy, and most recently, Bellatrix Exploration.
Over his career, Loren’s expertise has included both the operated and non-operated aspects of energy accounting and the management of joint venture and operational accounting teams.
Loren holds a Petroleum Joint Venture Association (PJVA) Analyst Certificate and graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Commerce.
As a born and bred native of Calgary, AB, Loren and his wife were both nationally recognized athletes growing up and continue to be active in sport, along with their daughter.
