van Vaughan is Vice President and Controller of HCC Insurance Holdings, Inc. He served as Treasurer, Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer of Affirmative Insurance Holdings, Inc. from May 9, 2006 to July 11, 2008.
He joined Affirmative Insurance Holdings in July 2005 as Vice President and Controller.
From August 2003 to July 2005, Mr. Vaughan was Vice President and Controller of HCC Insurance Holdings, Inc. and an Independent Consultant and Controller of the Highlands Insurance Group from April 2001 to August 2003.
From August 2000 to March 2001, he was an Associate of Resources Connection, Inc. and Vice President and Controller of American Indemnity Financial Corporation from September 1993 to July 2000.
From June 1984 to August 1993, Mr. Vaughan was an Accountant and Accounting Supervisor of Employers Casualty Company and is a Certified Public Accountant.
