Steve Jones

Mr. Steve Jones is Partner and Head of Specialty Finance at Plainfield Asset Management LLC.
Mr. Jones joined Plainfield in February 2008.
Previously, he was a partner with ArcherPoint Capital, a private equity firm in New York.
Mr. Jones worked for over 20 years at Salomon Brothers Inc / Citigroup.
He joined Salomon in 1984 and was a founding member of its High Yield Department.
After being promoted to Managing Director in 1990, Mr. Jones became head of Salomon's Global Leveraged Finance Group, a position he held for a number of years through Salomon's mergers with Travelers Insurance and Citibank.
In 2001, he founded Citigroup's Global Loan Portfolio Management Group, responsible for all credit approval and management of Citigroup's $125 billion corporate loan portfolio.
In 2003, Mr. Jones formed Citigroup's Global Structured Credit Products Group, which united the firm's credit derivatives and collateralized debt obligations businesses.
He retired from Citigroup in March 2006.
Mr. Jones began his career as an associate in the M&A department at Morgan Stanley in 1981, and also held senior positions at the Rosecliff private equity firm and UBS.
Mr. Jones graduated with a B.S.
in mathematics from the University of Notre Dame in 1978 and received an M.B.A.
from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College in 1981.
