Neil J. Schechter

Neil is a member at Gordon Feinblatt LLC and focuses his practice on providing counsel on all types of complex commercial and residential real estate matters, including acquisition and sale of real estate, residential community development, planned community development, development of mixed used projects, and land development.
Neil is a certified Mediator, focusing on using Mediation to resolve real estate disputes.
As a neutral third party, Neil meets with disputants to facilitate communications and negotiations, with the goal of helping to develop a satisfactory, consensual settlement.
The process is voluntary and confidential and offers the advantage of speed and cost-effectiveness over traditional litigation.
Before joining the Firm, Neil was General Counsel to Clark Turner Communities and Clark Turner Homes of Maryland.
Prior to that time, he was the Washington, D.C.
Division General Counsel for Toll Brothers, Inc., a Fortune 500 company, where he primarily provided legal advice to the company on projects in Maryland, Virginia, the District of Columbia and North Carolina.
Neil has lectured on topics for MICPEL and other legal educational sources on real estate and environmental topics.
