The firm was founded in 2002 and is a subsidiary of Oceanic Ltd., which is owned by Oceanic Finance Group Ltd. in Cyprus. OIML serves as the investment adviser, with discretionary trading authority, to various private pooled investment vehicles, the securities of which are offered to qualified investors on a private placement basis.

Tufton Investment Management Ltd. (Tufton) is the Great Britain-based alternative investment management subsidiary of Oceanic Finance Group Ltd. in Cyprus. The firm was founded in 1984 by Ted Kalborg as Gyllenhammar & Partners International Ltd. They were also formerly known as Tufton Associates Ltd. and as Tufton Oceanic Ltd. Headquartered in London, Tufton manages private investments for funds and other clients as well as for Tufton Oceanic Assets Ltd.
