Jay Perl

Mr. Perl joined Edgewood Private Equity in 2004.
He started his career in domestic and international oil products trading at Philipp Brothers.
During the eighties, he was vice president at Bomar Resources, where he managed a crude and oil product trading team, operating in the US, Europe, South America and the Far East.
He also negotiated and transacted with independent, major, and national oil companies worldwide.
Mr. Perl joined Euro Brokers in 1991, where he served as Manager of the Commodities Division where he was responsible for commodity broking worldwide for this multi national financial brokerage house.
He introduced swaps and other risk management tools that helped commoditize several energy products - natural gas, electricity, emission allowances, coal, and weather derivatives.
Mr. Perl brokered the first natural gas swap done in the U.S.
He also conducted seminars on risk management tools for the electric utility industry.
