Ian J. Learmonth

Mr. Ian Learmonth is an Executive Director of Macquarie Group, and is the European Head of Macquarie Capital Products, a Division involved in structured finance, renewable energy and retail funds management.
Based in London, his current focus is on the development of European renewable energy projects.
Mr. Ian Learmonth moved to London in 2001 after three years in Hong Kong where he ran Macquarie's Asian cross-border leasing and structured finance activities.
Prior to that he headed up NatWest Markets’ Asian Debt Structuring Group, which completed leasing, securitisation and structured finance transactions across Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Korea and China.
Before joining NatWest in Hong Kong Mr. Ian Learmonth worked at Macquarie, spending seven years in the Corporate Finance & Leasing Services Division.
He joined Macquarie Bank in 1989 having commenced his career with Coopers & Lybrand.
