David Klein

David Klein Head of WEX Venture Capital David leads deal sourcing and investments in startups addressing EV charging, fleet electrification, and adjacent technology.
Prior to joining WEX, David founded Parade, a Y Combinator-backed company that served over 5,000 startups.
He spent four years as a product manager at General Assembly where he built a new business unit that led to the company’s acquisition in 2018.
He also helped Strava overhaul its freemium model in 2019, tripling revenue and reaching a $1.5B valuation the following year.
He began his career in consulting and then worked at the startup accelerator Techstars before transitioning into tech.
During that time he also led the New York City chapter of House of Genius, a volunteer organization helping entrepreneurs solve business challenges.
He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Washington University in St. Louis.
