PineBridge Investments Japan Co., Ltd. (PineBridge Japan) is the Japanese asset management arm and wholly-owned subsidiary of Pinebridge Investments Holdings BV, ultimately held by the Li Family's Chiltonlink Ltd. in Singapore. Formerly known as AIG Investments Japan Co. Ltd., founded in 1986, the firm was acquired by Pacific Century Group in 2009. Headquartered in Tokyo, PineBridge Japan manages Japanese equity and fixed-income funds and advises portfolios for Ireland-domiciled umbrella funds managed within the parent group. They also manage domestic real estate investments, and socially responsible investments for individual and institutional investors, including high net-worth individuals.

Goldman Sachs Japan Co., Ltd. (GSJCL) is the Japan-based broker-dealer subsidiary of Goldman Sachs (Japan) Ltd., ultimately held by The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. (NYSE: GS) in the US. The firm originated in 1974 and was formally founded in 1983. Headquartered in Tokyo, GSJCL offers Internet-based transaction services covering equity, debt, commodities and derivatives to a substantial and diversified client base, which includes corporations, financial institutions, governments and high net worth individuals.
