Smith is Chief Investment Officer at Adept Capital Partners Advisers Ltd.
He has over 20 years experience in finance working in the United Kingdom, Bermuda and Hong Kong.
Prior to co-founding Adept Capital in June 2006, he was Chief Operating & Compliance Officer at the hedge fund manager Sofaer Capital and then Chief Operating Officer at specialist hedge fund brokerage KE Absolute, part of the Kim Eng Group, from May 2004 to June 2006.
Mr. Smith started as Audit Supervisor at Deloitte & Touche in the UK and went on to become Group Manager for hedge fund administration firm Hemisphere Management in Bermuda.
In 2000, he moved to Hong Kong where he joined Bank of Bermuda as a Group Manager.
Mr. Smith is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
He is a British national and a permanent resident of Hong Kong.
