Prior to joining Hastings Equity Partners, Mr. LaChapelle was President & COO of Simon Pearce, a well-known, high-end hand-blown glass manufacturer in the giftware industry.
At Simon Pearce, Mr. LaChapelle grew earnings by 20%/year, implemented successful inventory reduction programs, and launched a new e-commerce channel, doubling revenue in the first year.
Before joining Simon Pearce, Mr. LaChapelle was an Executive Vice President at Syratech, a $350MM silver and giftware company, running the Towle Silversmiths division as well as all marketing and brand development activities for the company.
Prior to Syratech, Mr. LaChapelle spent 15 years at Reed & Barton, a $100 million, privately held, high-end silver and giftware company with some of the best known brands in the tabletop industry.
Mr. LaChapelle was Senior Vice President of Marketing and Business Development.
He led a transition from mature product categories into more vital products and businesses, and generated $12 million in incremental revenues through pioneering the licensing business with Ralph Lauren, Waterford and Disney.
Mr. LaChapelle is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
He is a former Director of the Big Brothers Association of Greater Boston, former executive committee member at Sturdy Hospital and is Chairman of the Board of Selectmen for the Town of Foxboro.
