Simone Rizzi

Prior to joining Noventi/Sorgenia, Mr. Rizzi served as Head of Long Term Gas Supply Development with Edison SpA, one of the largest utility companies in Italy, responsible for the sourcing and negotiation of long-term contracts for the importation of gas and LNG into Italy.
Mr. Rizzi played a major role in the development of the Adriatic LNG terminal, a $2B project for the construction of one of the first offshore LNG re-gasification terminals located 10 miles off the cost of the Veneto region in Italy.
Prior to working in the gas sector, Mr. Rizzi was a Business Development Manager with the electricity branch of Edison SpA, responsible for the development of new green field combined cycle heat and power plants in Italy and abroad.
Before joining the Edison SpA Group, Mr. Rizzi served as a Post-doctoral Research Fellow at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratories and the University of California, Berkeley, doing experimental research in the field of Surface Science.
Rizzi graduated "cum laude" from the faculty of Physics of the University of Milan, Italy.
