Mr. Lee was previously with the Welch Group.
Prior to joining The Welch Group in 1999, he was a Research Analyst for one of the nation's largest asset management firms specializing in no-load funds, Markman Capital Management.
He was also instrumental at that firm in creating one of the first 'fund-of-funds' mutual funds in the country.
Mr. Lee earned a BS, with high distinction, from the University of North Dakota; an MS, with highest distinction, from the University of Minnesota; and an MBA from the University of Minnesota (St. Thomas.) Mr. Lee has been widely quoted on investment topics in both the local and national press, including The Wall Street Journal, Barron's, Morningstar, Business Week, Money, Kiplinger's, Investment Advisor, Smart Money, Investor's Business Daily, Mutual Funds magazine, Birmingham Business Journal, and Ignites.
He also previously co-hosted a regional radio show with Stewart H.
Welch, III.
Mr. Lee has served on several institutional advisory boards for various respected mutual fund and asset management firms around the country.
He also serves as a director and the Chief Investment Officer for one of the larger private family foundations in the nation.
