Philip von Burg

Prio to founding Monomoy in March 2005, Mr. Von Burg was a consultant and managing director at KPS Special Situations Fund for five years, where he served as a member of the Board of Directors or the interim senior manager of several KPS companies.
Mr. Von Burg is responsible for the implementation of operational improvement and cost reduction programs at Monomoy portfolio companies and is available to serve as an interim Chief Executive Officer of any Monomoy acquisition.
He also implements common programs across the Monomoy investment portfolio with respect to suppliers, purchasing, energy, insurance, transportation and financial reporting.
Prior to joining KPS, Mr. Von Burg was a Managing Director in the Arthur Anderson corporate recovery practice; held senior management positions with turnaround responsibilities at The Leslie Fay Companies and GRS Networks, Inc.; and operated an independent consulting firm specializing in crisis and turnaround management.
Mr. Von Burg holds an M.B.A.
from New York University and a B.A from the University of Virginia.
He is a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Turnaround Professional, and a Certified Insolvency & Reorganization Accountant.
