The firm was founded as Bancredito Administradora de Fondos Mutuos SA in 1988 to distribute mutual funds as an investment alternative for companies, as a vehicle for managing their cash surpluses. They changed their name to BCI Asset Management Administradora General de Fondos SA in 2008 and expanded their business to include investment fund management, private investment funds and portfolio management services. In 2011, BCI Asset Management and Bci Administradora General de Fondos merged, integrating private equity funds that invest in real estate assets. Headquartered in Santiago, BCI Asset Management provides voluntary pension savings and portfolio management services for high-net worth, individual and institutional investors.

CorpBanca Administradora General de Fondos SA (CorpBanca AGF) is a fund management firm headquartered in Santiago, Chile. Founded in 1986, the firm administers a variety of Chilean and international mutual funds for businesses and individuals. On 29 December 2017, Itaú Chile Administradora General de Fondos S.A. (Itaú Chile AGF) merged with CorpBanca AGF, having Itaú Chile AGF as the responsible entity to manage all savings and investment solutions offered through funds, mutual funds, investment funds and managed portfolios, including those funds and portfolios that were managed by Corpbanca AGF.
