M. Mokammel Haque

M.
Mokammel Haque is the founder of Halima Khatun Girl's High School established in 1993.
He currently holds positions as Chairman of Kabi Mozammel Haque Foundation, Independent Director of Pioneer Insurance Co. Ltd., and Member of Diabetic Association of Bangladesh, Bangladesh Economic Association, and Bangla Academy.
He is also a Member of Underprivileged Children's Educational Program since 1996 and President of Commonwealth Society of Bangladesh since 2015.
Mr. Haque held several former positions including Chairman of Janata Insurance Co. Ltd.
from 1997 to 1998, Executive Chairman-Investment Board of Government of Bangladesh in 1994-1995 and 1999-2001, Vice-Chairman of Export Promotion Bureau Bangladesh from 1975 to 1980, Executive Chairman of Board of Investment Bangladesh in 1994-1995, Director General of Government of Bangladesh, Independent Director of Mutual Trust Bank Plc, Director of Commonwealth Secretariat from 1980 to 1986, Executive Director of Unicef Bangladesh from 1977 to 1980, Director General of Integrated Rural Development Programme from 1970 to 1974, Secretariat-London of Rupali Bank Plc from 1977 to 1986, Vice President of World Trade Centers Association from 1977 to 1979, and Secretary of Bangladesh Ministry of Education, Commerce, Land, and Health & Family Welfare.
Mr. Haque received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Dhaka in 1956 and 1957, respectively.
