Lillian Montoya-Rael

Ms. Lillian Montoya-Rael is a Principal at Flywheel Ventures LLC.
She has over 20 years of executive management, strategy, finance, and operations experience in the public, private, and non-profit sectors.
She is responsible for investments and oversight of the New Mexico Gap Fund and oversees the investment review process for Flywheel II.
She also supports Flywheel portfolio companies Astria Semiconductor and Tuscany Design Automation.
Prior to Flywheel, Ms. Montoya-Rael was a private wealth advisor at Citi Smith Barney; a Director at Los Alamos National Laboratory; and Executive Director of Regional Development Corporation, an entrepreneurial and small business accelerator.
She previously worked in a variety of roles in public service.
Ms. Montoya-Rael holds a BA and MBA from the University of New Mexico.
