HögforsSahala is a new company that was born through a merger between Sahala Works' in Varkaus and Högfors' Heinola plant in late 2007. With the traditions, culture and mechanical engineering industry experience of its Varkaus and Heinola plants, the roots of its new company stem from the 19th century. HögforsSteka Oy provides engineering services. It manufactures power plant, power line steel, welded bridge, traffic, water, and bodywork structures. The company also offers hot-dip galvanizing, painting, and duplex-surfacing for various steel products. HögforsSteka was founded by Teuvo Suuronen in 1967 and is headquartered in Lievestuore, Finland.
