Kurt Austin Voldeng

Mr. Kurt A.
Voldeng is Chief Investment Officer & Chief Operating Officer at Commerce Asset Management LLC.
He manages the investment strategies and day-to-day operations of Commerce Asset Management along with managing, monitoring and reporting on the Company’s compliance and ethics program.
He specializes in alternative investment strategies.
His responsibilities include portfolio management of the firm’s replication strategies.
In addition, he continues to advise institutional investors on their hedge fund portfolios.
He has educated clients on hedge fund investing and advised clients on customized multi-manager hedge fund portfolios ranging in size from $20 million to over $5 billion.
He joined the firm in 2011.
Previously, Mr. Voldeng aided in the discretionary management of multi-manager hedge fund portfolios for other Registered Investment Advisors including managing an account for the New York State Common Retirement Fund with peak assets of $1 billion.
He began his career in 1990 with Consulting Services Group, LLC as a financial analyst and accepted an ownership position in the firm in 1999.
Prior to joining CSG, he worked with the corporate finance department of Union Planters National Bank (Regions).
Mr. Voldeng graduated with honors with a B.A.
in Finance from the University of Memphis and holds an M.B.A.
from the University of Memphis as well.
He maintains the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designation and is currently a member of the Governing Board of the Vision Preparatory Charter School.
He is also an active member of the University of Memphis Alumni Association and serves on the board of the Sigma Chi House Corporation for the Epsilon Kappa chapter of Sigma Chi Fraternity.
