Canal Digital is comprised of two companies: Canal Digital Norway AS and Canal Digital Kabel TV AS. Both companies have headquarters at Fornebu and is wholly owned by Telenor Broadcast. Canal Digital has regional offices around the country, the largest located in Bergen, Trondheim and Oslo, Porsgrunn, Norway. Canal Digital was founded in 1997. Canal Digital also has operations in Sweden, Denmark and Finland, and with around 3 million customers in the Nordic region's largest TV distributor and leading provider of digital and HDTV (High-Definition Television). The company distributes more than 130 TV channels and on all platforms in the Nordic countries, satellite, cable, broadband and terrestrial networks.
