John Edward Glavey

He joined the financial services industry in 1983 after a 12-year career in teaching, culminating in the headship of a specialist school in Oxfordshire for teenagers with educational difficulties.
He worked at Independent Financial Advisors, but he and a partner soon established their own firm Cherill Glavey which earned its reputation through its strong ethical credentials.
During this time, Mr. Glavey was regularly approached by financial companies including Scottish Equitable and Standard Life to provide guidance on establishing ethical investment policies.
During this period, he became a Founding Member of UK Social Investment Forum which helps to promote socially responsible investment.
He then moved to Kingswood Consultants in Bicester, followed by joining Philip T English International in 1999.
Mr. Glavey became a Director in 2000.
Although he specializes on a wide range of investments, much of his work focuses on retirement planning, including the utilization of pension savings lump sum investment and equity release.
Mr. John Glavey earned the Financial Planning Certificate in 1983 and the Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice in 2003.
