Rudy Freeman joined Corbel Capital Partners in 2017 and currently serves as a Principal.
At Corbel, Rudy focuses on rescue financings and secondary purchases of existing securities.
Prior to Corbel, Rudy practiced law for two decades in the sectors of bankruptcy/corporate restructuring, business and commercial transactions, and sports and entertainment law, most recently at Freeman Nelson.
Rudy regularly advised private equity funds, investment and commercial banks, and studios in transactions including leveraged acquisition financings, distressed asset acquisitions, production financing and other debt and equity financings.
Rudy has been recognized as a rising young star in the areas of business and commercial transactions.
Before founding Freeman Nelson, Rudy worked as an attorney at internationally recognized law firms Pillsbury Madison and Sutro, LLP (now Pillsbury Withrop), Paul Hastings, LLP, and Pachulski Stang Ziehl and Jones, LLP specializing in bankruptcy, corporate restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and general corporate law before moving on to become the Vice President and General Counsel of ASM Sports.
Rudy is admitted to the state bar of California and admitted in the Central, Northern and Southern Districts of the Federal Courts in California.
Rudy earned his B.A.
in Political Science and Economics from the University California at Los Angeles, going on to earn his J.D.
from Loyola Law School of Los Angeles.
