Howard Tomio Hirakawa

Mr. Howard T.
Hirakawa, CFA MBA, is a Vice President at Pacific Select Fund, a Senior VP-Investment Advisor Operations at Pacific Life Insurance Co. and a Senior Vice President & Investment Advisor Operations at Pacific Life Fund Advisors LLC.
He oversees portfolio management, product development, operations and compliance, fund board relationships, and reporting functions related to Pacific Funds Advisors.
In addition, he serves as portfolio manager for the Pacific Select Fund and the Pacific Funds asset allocation portfolios.
He has held roles in corporate planning and institutional product development.
He transferred to the Annuities & Mutual Funds Division in 1998, assuming the role of Investment Marketing Director.
He was promoted to assistant vice president, Product Development and Investment Marketing, in 2000 and to vice president, Product Development and Investment Marketing, in 2005.
In 2006, he transitioned from the Annuities & Mutual Funds Division to Pacific Life Fund Advisors where he assumed the role of vice president, Operations, with responsibilities for all fund investment oversight, fund compliance, and operational matters for Pacific Life’s variable annuity, variable life, and mutual fund assets.
Mr. Hirakawa received his B.S.
business administration from San Diego State University in 1984 and an MBA from Claremont Graduate University.
He holds Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
