Graham Free

Mr. Graham Free is Founder & Head of Trading at Virtu Financial LLC.
Before founding Virtu Financial in 2008, he worked for Madison Tyler Holdings/EWT LLC he was initially hired at EWT out of college as a junior trader, with significant operational support duties, including securities lending, stock record reconciliation, net capital computations, and design of EWT’s clearing software (which was later approved by NSCC for use in self-clearing).
Mr. Free was later promoted to head trader within three years of his hire, and as such played a key role at the firm in refining existing models and expanding trading operations to new asset classes, resulting in a twenty fold increase in revenue.
Mr. Free is a graduate of the California Institute of Technology, where he earned a BS in Economics with honors.
