Donald Trott

After receiving degrees from Brown University ('56) and Columbia University ('57) and serving in the United States Army, Mr. Trott has had more than four decades of experience in the securities industry.
During that period he has served as Director of Research of various brokerage firms, was Chairman of the Board of a publicly held NYSE member firm and served as Chairman of the Investment Policy Committee and Chief Investment Strategist of another prominent securities concern.
The founding president of the Consumer Analysts of New York (CAGNY), Mr. Trott also was the past president of the Merchants Analyst Group of New York.
Mr. Trott has followed numerous industries at various points in his career.
During the past fourteen years, he has focused on the specialty retail industry.
On several occasions, Mr. Trott has been recognized as a first or second team member of both the Institutional Investor All-Star team and Wall Street Journal All-Star team.
He was designated as the number one stock picker in the specialty retail soft goods sector and one of the top five specialty retail hard goods stock pickers in the May, 1999 Wall Street All-Star rankings.
The Wall Street Journal ranked him as a leading "home run hitter" in the same study.
More recently, he was named to the Wall Street Journal First All-Star team as #1 in estimates earnings of apparel retailers.
He was featured as retail's "hottest" analyst in the April 2000 issue of Dow Jones "Smart Money" magazine.
Mr. Trott joined Jefferies in August 2000.
