Mr. David Thompson is Senior Portfolio Manager at SLJ Macro Partners LLP.
From 2007-2009, he was Head of Absolute Return and Macro Strategy at Bank of Ireland Asset Management (BIAM), where he set up and managed two global macro hedge funds.
He was also responsible for managing the FX risk on BIAM’s overall funds and was a member of the company’s asset allocation committee.
Prior to this (2002-2006), he was Director and Principal Trader at Allied Irish Capital Management, a global macro hedge fund and CTA.
From 1994 to 2002, he held various positions in Bank of Ireland, including Head of Proprietary Trading.
Mr. Thompson is qualified as an actuary with The Institute of Actuaries in London.
