The Group's principal activities are the marketing and retail sale of food and beverages, durable consumer products, glassware, confectionery products and leisure products, through a chain of grocery stores, shopping centers and kiosks. As of 31-Dec-2007, the Group has a total of 953 shopping centers and hypermarkets in seven geographical regions of Turkey, as well as stores in Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Macedonia. Besides the Migros brand name, it also operates a chain of stores under Tansas, Sok, Ramstore and Macrocenter brands. The Group also provides online, telephone and catalogue shopping and delivering services for products such as cell phones, furniture, televisions, refrigerators, ovens, dishwashers and washing machines. The Group operates internationally in the Russian Federation, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan. On 13-Feb-2008, 51% of the Group was acquired by BC Partners Ltd.
