Amr Shawki

Amr is a Director at CVentures and is a senior member of the investment team.
He leads the firm’s portfolio management operations and is involved in all aspects of the investment process including deal assessment and execution.
Prior to CVentures, Amr headed CIB’s Large Corporates Segment where he was responsible for managing a portfolio of US$1.5 Billion servicing top tier corporate clients.
Prior to that, Amr was a member of CIB’s product development team responsible for developing credit products and financing schemes for SMEs.
Amr also participated in various M&A, debt and equity transactions on behalf of CIB throughout his career.
Additionally, Amr is a part time accounting and finance instructor.
He has extensive experience in valuation techniques, fixed income and equity instruments.
Amr holds a BComm in Accounting from Cairo University and an EMBA from the American University in Cairo.
Amr is also a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
