In addition to his role at Plum Capital, Mr. Charpentier is the founder and CTO of Intellifit, Inc., a company with a proprietary clothing measurement and manufacturing system that is a portfolio company of Plum.
He was the founder and President of Ensoniq Corporation.
Ensoniq was founded in 1983 and is a leading manufacturer of high-end electronic musical instruments and audio chips and add-in cards for PCs.
Ensonq was purchased in 1998 by Creative Technology LTD, a Singapore Company.
Prior to founding Ensoniq, Mr. Charpentier was Vice President of Engineering at Commodore Computers where he led the team responsible for the development of the Commodore 64 Computer.
Mr. Charpentier has years of experience in the electronics, semiconductor, and computer industry.
He has designed chips, silicon, and software systems in the following areas: calculators, microprocessors, ROM, DRAM, SRAM, video chips, audio chips, and hearing aids.
He holds five patents in these fields.
He earned a BSEE degree in 1975 from the University of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Charpentier is also Chairman of the Board at JVC Technologies, an IT deployment firm based in Plymouth Meeting, PA, and serves on the Board off ViaGate, a New Jersey-based company producing broadband VDSL technology.
