Matias is a Senior Fund Manager at International City Management Association Retirement (ICMA-RC) .She is responsible for managing subadvised equity funds and performing both qualitative and quantitative analysis.
Ms. Smith has over more than 19 years of experience in the investment industry.
Before joining ICMA-RC in July 2007, Ms. Smith was Portfolio Strategist/Chief Compliance Officer at Biegel & Waller, LLC, where she assisted in portfolio management for high net worth clients, analyzed non-proprietary mutual funds for inclusion in client portfolios, and performed the necessary due diligence for new and existing portfolio managers and investment management companies.
Prior to that, she was Associate Portfolio Manager at Legg Mason Wood Walker, Inc., where she co-managed an in-house non-proprietary mutual fund wrap program and developed investment allocations for each portfolio.
She received an MBA with a Finance Concentration from Loyola University and a BS in Business Management from the University of Maryland University College.
